The Proposition :: kick ass film !

Just saw 'The Proposition' , and was seriously blown away.
It was an intense , well scripted and well acted piece of cinema from Australian director John Hillcoat. The screenplay and score were by none other than Nick Cave.
Easily one of the best films I've seen in a while. I still have some scenes indelibly etched in my memory.
Enjoy!

Dominic, lovely stuff as ever sir. Haven't seen the film yet, just the poster - who is the actor holding the gun to camera on it? Looks like one of the guys out of Deadwood! Keep up super stuff chief

Curtis -thanks for stopping by, the kind words are appreciated. As for the bloke in the poster , it's Guy Pierce . Deadwood's a great show.

Saw this at TIFF a couple of years back - loved it. Hillcoat & Cave were there to talk about it (and the numbers of flys coating their mouths & bodies during the brutal australian heat) as well.
Great work - as always....

Great image...

Dom, I got that it was Guy Pierce in this lovely illo, was just wondering if that was him snarling on the actual movie poster too - it was a fine image but he looked pretty ferocious on it if it was.

Dominic Bugatto said...

jo bling - depends which poster , there are some that have Danny Huston on them too. Both he and Guy are bearded and 'ragtag' looking in the film , they are supposed to be brothers in it after all ;)
