Was asked to do the holiday card for my buddies at marblemedia again this year. Two versions were created , the older New Yorker style piece won the day. Enjoy!
Heya mate. You just visited my blog. I noted that down the page you saw The Proposition. The same director and writer team of Hillcoat and Cave also made a film, many years ago, called Ghosts of the Civil Dead. Very gritty and worth a look.
The NY wins! Great stylistic choice, has a lot of character. It's funny though, I thought the girls in the second one were Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy!! Or maybe I just hoped that they were... I will still pretend it's them. Both are really nice :D Lucky buddies at marblemedia!
Becky - thanks for stopping by, I'm a big fan of your work. Too funny about the the Mary Jane comment, it hadn't dawned on me at the time of execution, but in hindsight , I totally thought the same thing myself.

Yeah , saw that one years ago on vhs , def a good flick. Funny seeing Nick Cave ham it up as a psycho'babblin prisoner in cameo part.
I believe Cave did the soundtrack also with Mick Harvey & Blixa from the Bad Seeds.
agree--that b&w is drawn so cool!
haha, I'm likin' the style you have going on here too! the b/w is very cute. :)
Both cards are great, but yeah i like the New Yorker style piece better... Hope you had a great holiday, and happy New Year.
lotusgreen, naomiful - thanks !
Jon - thanks, and all the best to you & yours
